I am a 28 year old surfer in Hawaii that has been diagnosed with a SLAP tear.  I don't really want to get surgery but it seems like the only option???  I have done tons of sholder stabalizing exercises and I still  can't do the super long surf session I used to. But, I still can paddle out on some heavy days on the north shore.  I do pay for it in the means of shoulder pain for the next couple of day.  I was really wondering if anyone, particuarly surfers, have gotten the surgery and can tell me their thoughts on whether to go through with it or not?  How was rehab? Loss of ROM, Strength, Stability, and overall thoughts on the surgery.  TO CUT OR NOT TO CUT,  that is the question?? Or if anyone knows a blog title I should look up for this information.  Sorry, I'm new at all this blogging stuff.  Thanks and Mahalo!!!
