Hello, On Wednesday, the 31st, I will have my third right shoulder surgery in the past two years. The first two surgeries were to repair my rotator cuff. This time it is to repair my SLAP tear. The doctor has no idea how these tears happen so frequently in my shoulder. I work for the U.S. Post Office and my job is to sit and place letters into bins for delivery. There is no heavy lifting or pushing at all in the performing of my work. There is alot of repetative motion, but I do not think that would cause a SLAP tear in my shoulder. I do not play baseball or have fallen down and caught myself by putting out my hand to cause the tear. Anyway, it is going to be fixed in four days and then I will have to go through the re-hab again. I took four weeks off of work and I hope that will be enough time to heal so I can drive. If not, I will take more time off as needed. I will let you know how the procedure went, what was done and how the recovery is progressing........Dave |
