Not much pain this morning, and able to work at my computer all morning. Woke up this morning and did not feel much discomfort at all, which for me is typically a dull but persistent ache that just makes me feel a little edgy or distracted. So for the first time since the procedure last week, I held off on pain killers until noon. |

A little tough typing, as you might imagine. The repair involved placing two anchors in my shoulder and three sutures, one of which is apparently looped around the biceps tendon. I'll have to see the images to get a feel for how that works. They sent me home with a pretty cheesy arm sling. It's gray cotton-like fabric, with a cushion to keep the arm away from my body, and velcro straps -- one around my waist, the other over my other shoulder. The sling is a Donjoy. I've also been wearing a neoprene wrap over the shoulder that has a sleeve for a gel ice pack. |

With my shoulder procedure coming up in 10 days (Oct. 5), my experience is a lot like it was for my ACL reconstruction earlier this year in March. As for my knee, there isn't much pain doing mundane, ordinary things. |

On Oct. 5, I'm having a SLAP repair on right shoulder, and I'll be using this blog to keep track of and share my recovery and rehab. My main reason for having the repair is to be able to return to competitive tennis next season, and participate in USTA league and tournament play. |
