squeaking sound post slap repair 6 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
anyone have a squeeking sound from their shoulder post slap repair. I had mine done 6 weeks ago and so far so good, except a really deep friction squeek. Not sure I guess it could be from sutures?? Who knows. Also having problems with Abduction.
thanks for any help

Sounds like combination of the sutures with some residual joint effusion. Forget abduction-it will be a LONG time. How's ER?

Believe it or not I have close to full range of motion in all planes except abduction. Its slowly coming around. Im a chiropractor, so just trying to hurry the process along so I can get back to work. But at the same time tryint not to push it too far too soon. When was your surgery? How is it now??

Glad to hear your doing well! I am also a chiropractor. My surgery was on 4/30/08 and didn't go so well. The ortho did a SLAP repair, posterior labral repair, Bankart, capsular shift, chondroplasty of the glenoid and humerus and a decompression. For reasons not known yet, I wound up with at least a neuropraxia of the brachial plexus and now have signs of complex regional pain syndrome, so work is a LONG way off for me. PROM flexion is around 140 w/AROM at 90. About the same for ABD. ER, maybe 15. Problem now is aggresive ranging in PT lights up my brachial plexus and I start to get CRPS symptoms. I've already had 2 sympathetic blocks with several more scheduled. Good times!

Chirosteve 7, WOW, you are one lucky guy! Good for you to have come so far so quickly.

Cavitator, I did reply to your PM (didn't know we could get them, so that is why SO long). Sorry to hear you are having such a horrible time of things.
