Rose so glad everything went smoothly, I was very talkative on the meds but unsteady on my feet. Just curious what you were told to do post-op besides pendulums? How long with the brace?
Was it a SLAP II repair or other? Let me know when you can focus for a few minutes. Thanks, Sharon 11 days post-op

Hi Rose..i'm doing ok today,..kind of tired still, but stopped the pain meds this am...i felt much better after showering, but got dizzy when i started to take off the bandages.. (took them off on Sat which was 2 days post-op)I think i am just weakened from not exercising and sitting around so much...something that i'm not used to doing. I'm getting used to sleeping on my back now...it is just easier than sleeping on the couch. Have PT tomorrow so am looking forward to that and just getting out of the house...
Hope you are doing well,
Sherri

I uploaded some photos of my wounds. Yesterday I felt the worst so far. Keeping the ice pack on 24/7 and the sling with elevator. Taking meds on time, I am doubling up the norco when
the pain becomes intolerable.

Not sure if the pain is the healing process or if I have done something to my shoulder.

Followup is Thursday.

When did you all start PT post op?

Rose,

I am so glad that things are going pretty well for you. In regards to your question about PT, I started after my first post-op appt. at 10 days. PT is very boring at first, just ROM exercises at first until you are cleared to start strengthening, which for me was 6 weeks post-op. Ice was my best friend for the first few days!!! So keep icing and taking those pain meds. Hope your follow up goes well Thursday and hope your recovery goes smoothly.

Hi Rose...just wanted to see how you are doing...can't believe it is now 2 weeks post op....i was finally able to wash my hair today...(after going to the salon twice!)...so that is a relief. PT is going well, but my bicep tends to cramp up a lot and that is driving me crazy...also still can't really pull my hair back in a pony tail yet...range of motion is getting better and the doc said i was torn in 2 places when i had my first post-op visit, and had i not had the op, i would have had some major problems later on...
have made it to the gym a few times now...and feel better for getting some cardio in.
hope recovery is going well for you!
