So surgery's in two days and im pretty sure I'm prepared!. Tomorrow morning is the pre -op than I have to wait until 3pm thursday..uhg!....I'm not very nervous at all...my mom is a lot worse than I am. I'm the eternal optimist here, so positive thoughts are always in my head. I'm jsut anxious!..I want it to happen already so, they can fix it and I can start to get better ASAP!! haha...If anyone has any last minute advice for me I'd appreciate it, If not enjoy the rest of your night :)

Lanna, Not much to say but that I understand you just want to be done with the surgery. The most difficult thing will be waiting for your time. I was moved to a 1:00 time and told them I was hypoglycemic and was a bit concerned. They then said to come in early and they could give me some sugar H2O IV. Well i did arrive early, they really did not have a bed for me, so I waited and then it turned out my blood sugar levels were fine. So bring your Ipod if you go early as it is no fun waiting without any music. It is really strange waiting and not eating, so much of what we do involves our meals. You will be a little hungry after you get home, but stick with a liguid type meal until you are sure you can handle it. Good luck. Chime in when you can

The Ipod will be charged and ready....along with a good book : )...It's funny how true it is about eating, it takes up so much of the day. SO basically I'm planning on sleeping as long as possibly on thursday so i won't have to think about it. I'll be sure to leave a post as soon as I'm able to : ) Thanks!

I too am undergoing surgery, I'm in on Friday here (Australia) so probably going under about the same time as you! I am getting a little anxious too,, Just want to get it over and done with now. Think i'm as prepared as I can be. Mostly stressing about the sleep issue. Like to sleep flat and not usually on my back so hopefully will adjust to new sleep conditions. Have a recliner so from what i have read sounds like it will be the go. Hope all goes well for your surgery. Belinda

Everything will go fine for both of you. Remember ice, meds, and rest after the sugery.
