Has anyone torn an anchor? 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 1
I just wondered how it feels. I fell down the stairs 3 days ago and landed on my bad arm (elbow). I went to the doc that morning, because the pain was unbearable. He sent me home and said take lots of anti-inflam's because I most likely agitated the tissue around the anchor. Several hours later the pain subsided and now, I still hurt <a lot> but I'm not sure if I hurt more or less than before the fall.

Does anyone think if I did tear the anchor I'd sublux or be in more severe pain?

Well if anyone would have an idea it would be the OS. You really would not know for sure without an MRI and this could not be done for a few months. As long as you continue to make progress in therapy after everything settles down, you should be fine.

This is my first post, but I have been reading since I had mine done in May (4 Anchors).

I too would like to know! Sorry to hear about your fall.

I am 4wks and two days now and everytime I made a wrong move or felt a sharp dull pain I always wondered if there is a chance of damaging the repair.

I guess thats my concern too. I am absolutely paranoid that I might damage the repair. I am 2 weeks out and have had a couple stupid incidents and you're right, make a wrong move and it not only hurts but scares the heck out of me.
