I have noticed a pea sized lump poking up underneath 3 of my 4 incisions. They appeared 8 days post surgery and are not red, hot, nor painful. My surgeon said not to worry about it. my PT said to massage them and they would go away. Well it has been 14 days and they are no smaller.
Anybody else have lumps like this? if so what did you do for them that worked?

Had exactly the same thing -- the one that didn't have a lump was the one on the outside of the shoulder. After I removed the dressings 5 days postop I put bandaids with triple antibiotic ointment on them as they were still not completely healed. The lumps disappeared after about 3 days -- don't know why or if the ointment had anything to do with it. Just had the knots from the sutures poking out after that. I think they must have to dissolve to a certain extent inside the skin before the bump is released and it flattens out -- my theory, anyway.
