I am going to a rehearsal for the opening ceremonies, a victory celebration, closing ceremonies and the opening for the paralympics.

The events I want to see are better on TV - luge, bobsled and skeleton, plus ski jumping, and all the downhill events. Love the freestyle and snowboarding as well.

My OS and physio are with the Men's Hockey.

I have an appointment with my OS today at 10. I'm both excited and nervous to hear what he says.

Finally, a benefit to getting older! My OS described me as "an old chick" when it comes to dislocations, so my chance of re-dislocated are lower. He's sending me to PT for 4-6 weeks. Of course, I'll probably live in fear of dislocating again during that time, but I'm glad he didn't say surgery was the only option. And, he said I only need another week in the sling, and then I can start running/Spinning again. Thank God!!

Susie, happy to hear you are able to give the rehab route a try. of course, once you dislocate, there is always the fear it'll happen again. even after surgery, having the shoulder stabilized, when my shoulder felt too tight, i was still paranoid it might dislocate. just be sure to avoid that abducted/externally rotated position as much as possible. happy to hear you can get rid of the sling soon too . make sure to keep us updated.

Oh, I'm completely afraid that it's going to dislocate again. Yesterday, I pulled on something, and I thought for sure it was about to dislocate again. I don't quite understand why my chances of dislocating again are smaller since I'm older, but I'm glad to hear it!!

I'm starting PT on Monday.

I read on line about a shoulder sleeve that helps keep your shoulder secure. Has anyone used it?
