I want to thank everyone for the encouragement a couple of weeks ago when I wasn't sure how I was going to work this all out. I went to see my OS yesterday because of the loss of strength and pain I've experienced since the mess up in PT, and it was confirmed that the physical therapy tore my rotator cuff. But Friday was my last day for physical therapy. I have no new script from the doctor and am not allowed to continue without it. A couple of weeks ago, I downloaded isometric exercises from:
http://medicalcenter.osu.edu/pdfs/PatientEd/Materials/PDFDocs/exer-reh/upper/isometric-shoulder.pdf
These have helped immensely with getting strength back and working out the kinks I've been having with movement. I discussed with my OS how to work out the rotator cuff tear and new pain from the labrum. His recommendations were very different than what the physical therapists recommended anyway. It seems that I will be better off at this stage working on the joint by myself. My OS did say that I may need surgery to fix the rotator cuff tear, but I'm hoping with time and care it won't be necessary.
Thanks again!
