Drake I really think we have similarties. My MRI didnt show anything really, so they think it could possibly be a small tear that they just couldnt see. I think mine isnt nearly as bad as alot of people here but its good to hear other peoples responses and their recoveries. Im hoping my surgery is just going to be clearing out somethings in my shoulder to where when I return to tennis I will have all my ROM back. When I played tennis the only thing that hurt the most was my serving, it came to almost impossible to do that. My forehands never really bothered me at all but my backhands did only because I had a pretty back back strain because of trying to keep my shoulder held in place, so I used all those muscles back there and it just couldnt take it. Hopefully your surgery goes well tomorrow!!

well i have some great news and hopefully this will give u some hope athompson, I had surgery today and it was the best possible outcome i could have asked for, he smoothed out the bone spurs which what was causing all of the damage, I also had two minor tears (one in rotator cuff other in labrum), I will be in a sling for about a week to 2 weeks and should be back on the court in January, hopefully be good enough to go to sectionals and nationals with my team, thanks for all the info guys and ill keep posting throughout rehab, if you guys have any questions ill be checking back frequently. woohoo for a great out, athompson i hope you turn out the same!

2 days after surgery im feeling pretty good, played a little wii bowling today left handed and finally left my apartment to go out for a bit, my legs and ankles swelled up quite a bit i think from not being on them, taking vicodin quite regularly, although little or no pain in my shoulder, i dont see the doctor until thursday but tomorrow i can finally change my bandage and shower, before going to my tennis meet to watch my team compete, good news is there is very little pain can't wait to start PT, ill keep the site updated, say positive athompson!

well today a little more sore, riding in a car especially hurts, been doing exercises with no pain, swelling has went down, i get my stitches out on Thursday, still pretty afraid of sleeping in a bed so i am still sleeping in a recliner, having trouble sleeping so right before i want to go to bed taking the vicodin in order to get some much needed sleep, wearing anything besides a cut off tshirt and a sweatshirt over it is almost impossible, but relatively pain free
