I have been looking back over my mri and my surgical summary-my mri mentions an intaosseus cyst and the surgery summary mentions a hills sach lesion. i found this article http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3912/is_200405/ai_n9455098
I may be graping at staws, but this sounds like it is a possiblity. My surgeon just brushed off the cyst both pre and post surgery. Does anyone have any experience with these Hills . It sound logical that f there is a cyst on my glenoid-it could be causing pain in myshoulder as well as my upper back and bicep and elbow. I am running his theory by my surgeon via email. I had blood work today and have a CT scan on fri. Let me know if anyone has had a cyst that turned out to be the main culprit-thanks! CMILLZ31 -i know what it feels like-did you have a cyst show up on your mri by any chance?

Rod, if you have such pain and a cyst, which is not a normal anatomical variant, it is reasonable to assume that the cyst is the cause of your pain.

Another thing to consider is the possibility that you are having an inflammatory or allergic reaction to the stitches they placed during your surgery. It is virtually impossible, without scoping it to rule out such a reaction.

Just as an example, they had to take my old stitches (the ones that were supposed to have dissolved) out because I was reacting to them and there is no way it would show up on the MRI. Instead, it was only detected after the camera was in and they were looking into my joint.
