Thought I'd start a blog to document. November 2005. Working out with 2 lb hand weights, began a rotator cuff exercise and felt something pop in the right shoulder. A bit of discomfort but nothing unbearable. December 2006. Appt with family doctor as general achiness continued. He diagnosed as probable muscle pull or tendonitis. Given prescription ibuprofen. Discomfort in shoulder when lifting hand above arm (i.e., blow dry hair). I continued with normal physical activity - aerobics with lots of arm work, jogging, weights with dumbells and weight bar, push ups, lifting boxes and such at work. March 2006. Appt with ortho as discomfort continuing. Range of motion good with a little discomfort. Xrays revealed no bone spurs. Given bands and exercises to do at home. Continued with normal physical activity as above. |
