Whew! It’s been a long time! It has been forever since I updated my blog. Quite a few things are going on so let me tell you what’s up! Firstly what everyone expects is the shoulder update. Things are going well, I had my “sign-off” appointment with the doctor last Friday. He thinks it’s healed up well and I just need to continue to work on my strengthening and ROM exercises. My strength is way up but my range of motion isn’t quite there yet. Horizontal abduction, that is elbo up and away from the side, isn’t so great, around 60 degrees my shoulder “cheats” and lifts up instead of staying put. I’m cranking out the stretches and it is improving slowly. Strength, like I said, is pretty good. I’ve started again with weights and where I have range of motion things are good. I do the basics, flys, curls, tricep extensions, rows, etc… Doc said last time to keep the weight and speed down. So, I do light weight with four or five seconds of motion. I really like the effect, I’m building strength back pretty quickly. Secondly, the site is going through some transitions. The blog system is up again and should be 10x more reliable. (I’m posting this through it!) I’m still working through layout of the site, trying to find the best usability possible. The main reason I’ve been kind of busy lately is, I’m leaving NY State. I quit my job and I’m moving out to Los Angeles to go back to school. I’ll be attending Anderson School of Business at UCLA in the fall – about four weeks away! So I’m trying to figure everything out. What to do with cars, where to live, etc… should be exciting! I have some more details, but they will have to wait a few days. If I keep going it will be another month before I update! Cheers for now!
