Thought I'd start a blog to document.

November 2005.  Working out with 2 lb hand weights, began a rotator cuff exercise and felt something pop in the right shoulder.  A bit of discomfort but nothing unbearable.

December 2006.  Appt with family doctor as general achiness continued.  He diagnosed as probable muscle pull or tendonitis.  Given prescription ibuprofen.  Discomfort in shoulder when lifting hand above arm (i.e., blow dry hair). I continued with normal physical activity - aerobics with lots of arm work, jogging, weights with dumbells and weight bar, push ups, lifting boxes and such at work.

March 2006.  Appt with ortho as discomfort continuing.  Range of motion good with a little discomfort.  Xrays revealed no bone spurs.  Given bands and exercises to do at home.  Continued with normal physical activity as above.

August 2006.  After relocating to another city, suddenly realized I'm in more pain.  Cannot find comfortable position to sleep. Cannot lift right arm in back higher than tail bone.  Almost cannot lift arm to dry hair.

November 2006.  Appt with ortho.  Xray revealed some encroachment.  Offered and accepted injection in the shoulder.  Follow up two weeks with no improvement in movement nor pain.  Due to lack of range of motion with severe pain, MRI performed showing some type of tear.

January 5.  Surgery performed.  SLAP 2 repair with two ancors and removal of bone spur intrusion.
