I have 2.2 cm tear in my labrum and an intraoesseos cyst, my surgery is sched for Jun 20 and I am in major pain. I crashed my Mt bike about 4 yrs ago and toughed it out w/ ice and ibuprof. In Apr 05 I was lifting my daughter and the pain became unberable. It was deep joint achec.  with associated bicep inflamation. Off to phys therapy-learned some band stretches that seemed to do the trick until Mar of April of this yr. The pain came back and has not really subsided. I have been on vicodin and flexerall for aboout 2 months. 2 vics barely cuts the pain. I have tried ice, heat, a sling, accupunture-all to na avail.

My orhto says he needs to get in there w/ an scope around to see if he can clean anything up-I now this sounds vague-thus the need for a 2nd opinion from an ortho that specializes in SLAP tears.  I should have the results of that later this week and will update then. In the meantime my questions are: How many anchors for a 2.2 cm tear. HOw much can the cyst be contributing to my pain. Any replys are welcome-thanks!
