I am 3 days post op my 3rd shoulder operation, but my first for my right shoulder. I had a SLAP tear and impingement of the suprispinatus. I don't know how many anchors I had put in until I see the surgeon on the 30th January. I was told that my tear did go as high as the 12 o'clock position and one of my incisions is pretty high up near my trap.

I am relieved to hear I had not stretched out the capsule like i'd done on my left which I am 12 months post op for and still feeling discomfort for - i put this down to a completely useless physiotherapist I had in the beginning and who workers compensation were paying for. I am worrying that I have compromised that procedure and having to rely totally on my partially rehabilitated arm is a concern for me.

For this latest op however, i have not taken a single pain medication even when in hospital. The block i had lasted well throughout the night and into the next morning.
