      TOPIC: Upcoming latarjet

Upcoming latarjet 1 year, 5 months ago #31527

      Hi all!
I'm curious if anyone has had an open latarjet to repair instability and labrum tear? I'm concerned that although the procedure will fix the instability, will it be possible to fix a tear from 1:00 - 7:00? I'm nervous about the procedure and the recovery time.... Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Literally as i know when they do latarjet they tend to do bone grafted only. They dont fix labrum or any thing as bone graft will block your capsule of slipping out of your socket. Don't worry about the labrum they will leave it as it is. And the reason why they do you latarjet because your labrum can't be fixed anymore. Recovery time usually 3 months to get the grafted bone heal and possibly slight loss of motion at extremely movement. But you will be fine. You will feel a lot of tightness in your shoulder which pretty uncomfortable.
