Thank you so much for taking the time to make these video progress notes. They are fun to watch. I had my shoulder fixed on September 16, so I have liked keeping track of what you are doing. I am not as far along, but as we know, the competition is about what we can do ourselves. You've given me some good inspiration.
Your last two points...no constant aching...I can't wait for that! Sleep? Can't wait for that! But the most important thing I take away, get out there and grab the endorphines. I'm doing recumbent bike and treadmill...boring! But I work up a sweat and feel better afterwards.
I like your athlete's no-nonsense approach. I'm 53, a priest and a rower, and my sport is very important to me, the thing that drives me to get back from this darned surgery. So keep inspiring us, please!
I figured "no video", he's getting back. Good for you! Like Woody, my PT has me doing those old fashioned nose to elbow stretches.
I'm about 14 weeks out as well...my PT cleared me to try the erg (rowing machine) on no resistance...I can't wait to just get the motion back. My shoulder capsule is stuck together, so we have to keep working on that...when I raise my arm, the whole shoulder comes with it.
Keep up the great attitude and encouragement! Stacey
