Very personal question, but since we are all anonymous, maybe someone will feel like answering... I'm wondering how soon after repair surgery you could attempt to have sex, and I assume that your movement is extremely limited? My boyfriend thanks you for your replies!

Well... I would suspect it depends on YOUR pain level and restrictions and where you are at in recovery. People can always be creative. I'd suggest asking your doc -they have heard everything.

When you are moving past 50, that is about the last thing on one's mind! I remember talking to my surgeon about pain meds, and how the negative side effects are lack of libido. I just laughed and said I really didn't care at that point since I was in so much pain. He got this really hurt look on his face, and said "Well I am sure at least one person cares!(my husband of course)" He's a real card - I do like him.

I had sex very soon after my surgery. Of course, my wife had to be a bit creative about it. The biggest problem was ejaculation. It tensed up the whole body, including the shoulder, and was horribly painful.
