I'm 4 months out from a right shoulder SLAP repair (5 anchors). I had the same procedure on my left shoulder more than a year ago.

My recovery has gone well, but starting just recently I have been noticing some stiffness and numbness in the first few fingers of my right hand. This only happens after I have been lying down to sleep for a while. I will wake up at night and in the morning with the numbness/stiffness. And, if I lie on my left shoulder (the non operated shoulder), the numbness is worse, like it has "fallen asleep".

When I wake up and move my arms around the feeling comes back (mostly) and is ok during the day. It never goes completely away, but it is improved and I can function normally.

I messaged my ortho and the both of us thought it was strange that this would show up so long after the surgery. He thought it could be unrelated, like carpal tunnel. I don't think it's that.

Anyone else have any experiences with this?
