A couple days ago I received a MRI with contrast and I am in constant pain. I feel as though I'm using someone else's arm. My ROM is horrendous and I cannot get a full night's sleep. Does the pain go away after a while or I have something else I have to worry about.
Any and all suggestions would be appreciated; Thanks in advance!
I had a similar experience with the contrast MRI - the needle used to inject the dye really caused my shoulder to be sore for a few days afterward. I'd say for the next 5 days or so I could feel it. It was not painful enough to cause me to lose sleep however. I'd say if its still sore after a week and a half I'd ask the doctor about it. I bet you it will go away though, just give it some time.
i dont that i would say they are supposed but when i had an arthrogram mri my shoulder was in a significant amount of pain. when they injected the die i almost jumped into the doctors lap. apparently it is possible to hit a nerve at lest that is what the doctor told. the next 5 days were horribly painful. being 6 days postop i can say that day 4 when i forgot to take a pain pill before i went to sleep and woke up at 3 am with what felt like glass in my shoulder was about the same as the days after my mri
