I've got an interstitial supraspinatus tear (delamination) but it cannot be repaired. I think the whole thing is being held together with scar tissue (good scar). I hope it works out for the best whichever way you go! All I can say is the rotator cuff surgery is by FAR the most painful of all the things they've done to me, including this total replacement.
11/09 Rt. Rotator cuff repair, slap tear debridement
06/10 Rt. Lysis of adhesions, capsular release, SAD, synovectomy
12/10 Rt. Bicep tenodesis, DCE, SAD, labrum debridement, lysis of adhesions
08/11 Rt. Humeral head resurfacing, capsular release
05/12 Rt. Revision total shoulder replacement
03/13 Rt. Revision reverse shoulder replacement, greater tuberosity reconstruction

Thanks Riderk for your well wishes.

I will say the recovery from rotator cuff surgery has been long ....been in PT since Feb. 17.... but it is getting better. I have full ROM and my ER and IR are much better, still working on it. My pain is low, ad more tolerable than pre-surgery. I have been doing strength training. I've started riding my bike again and have enjoyed some long walks .... Just finished walking a 5k race doing 15 minute miles.

There is light at the end of the tunnel.

    Take care,

    Jo

I can't wait to start riding the bike and horses again - maybe by fall. Never made it to strengthening after any surgery or got very far with any of it. For now it is just walking - cannot believe how flabby my arm and leg muscles are - always was strong just with riding and farm type work. It doesn't take long to lose it all. When they did the pre-op measurement this time, the ER and IR were next to nothing.
