Neal S. ELattrache Kerlan Jobe is suppose to be very good. He is on all the list of good shoulders surgeons and he is the Team Doctor and Surgeon for Dodgers.

My OS works in the same office as Dr. Christopher Jobe. Not sure if it is the same Dr. Jobe as the one you mentioned. But I will look into Dr. Elattrache. Thanks for the tip.

At Kerlan-Jobe, it is Frank Jobe. There are about 150 million names on the wall by now and they own pretty much an entire building about 2 miles north of LAX. They have their own PT and surgical center there as well. One-stop shopping!

Elattrache is great and did my wifes ACL in 1995. She just called them this week for a new knee problem...he only sees surgical cases now (pre-packaged and ready to go), after referral from another ortho. It will take eons to get in with him. I think you can scratch him off your short list. Another doc there who is also a shoulder expert is Ron Kvitne, MD. I saw him for a second opinion in 2008 and now wished I would have chosen him over the brain-dead half-wit that messed me up (also a shoulder "expert").

Thank you for that. It's nice to know someone who had success with a shoulder doctor for the second opinion. Do you by chance know if I need a referral to see Dr. Kvitne or can I schedule an appt myself?

Again, in my opinion, give yourself time to heal. You've already had 2 invasive procedure, each of which may cause scarring and/or other consequences like arthritis. The road to multiple surgeries is a road to poor outcomes. Surgeons do surgery - that is how they make a living. Surgery does not solve every problem, especially with shoulders. If it did, I should have a golden shoulder worth thousands of dollars! Instead I have limited function, a future of more surgery, and more pain.

Wishing the best for you. Be patient.

Thanks Rider. Since it has only been 3.5 weeks since the surgery, I think I'm going to give myself some time to heal before I make any drastic moves. My OS did tell me to wait until the 6 week point, before we consider doing anything. It is just frustrating since I've had shoulder pain for over 2 years and yet 2 surgeries later, I'm still in pain. I'm trying my best to be patient. Hope you are recovering well.
