TOPIC: Can anyone Interpret my MRI result?

Can anyone Interpret my MRI result? 1 year, 7 months ago #31466

I have seen two separate doctors, First doctor believes I have a small tear, Second doctor believes I'm getting my pain in my shoulder from a bulging disk in my sine possibly.

The first doctor I saw ordered an MRI with the contrast injected into my shoulder.

      The report states:
Labrum: defect in the superior labrum which extends from the 1 o'clock to the 11 o'clock position.

      1. Defect in the superior labrum is felt to represent a superior labral non-displaced tear. Given the appearance, a sublabral recess is felt to the much less likely

      2. Supraspinatus/infraspinatus tendinosis without full-thickness tear.

Can anyone here interpret what this is saying?

Has anyone here benefited from physical therapy from this type of injury or is surgery the only way?

Sounds to me like there is a small tear. In my experience, a small tear seen in the MRI is usually worse when they go in. I've had about 20 MRI's done and when it showed nothing, there was usually a small tear and when the MRI showed a small tear, it was actually much worse when they went in.
