The tenodesis surgery was an easier recovery than my shoulder surgery.
After about 2 weeks I felt like I was ready to come out of the sling but I had to keep it on for 4 weeks. Sleeping was much easier after the tenodesis compared to the shoulder surgery. The rehab process was also more painful and tedious from the shoulder surgery. I had pain in many different areas of the joint. With the tenodesis the pain has been very localized at the insertion point and as I mentioned not that bad. I hope this helps.
Good luck with your decision.
MJW & riderk,
Again, thanks much for the responses. The information you have provided me is very helpful and is much better/detailed than the OS & PT gave me. I will re-read these several time to make my final decision. Until this forum I was not able to get any personnel experiences from people and, that is what I really wanted to hear. So, if you think of anything else that might help me please reply again.
Sorry I have 2 different posts going but I did not think the first one I did last night went through.
