      Hello,

Just wanted to say that I appreciate this site. Lots of helpful information that I'm still reading through.

I'm scheduled for surgery next Monday. I've got a partially torn rotator cuff, torn labrum, and a cyst growing in the injured area. Not really looking forward to surgery, but I've been living in pain for 8 months now.

The labral tear did not show up on my MRI, but was diagnosed by my orthopedic doctor after a motion test(O'briens?).

Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

      Thanks.

And I was certain that I put this in the Shoulder/General Discussion section.

      oops.

Hey, Caddman! Welcome and best of luck with your surgery. Incidentally, I will be having surgery at the same time as you (at least the same day), albeit mine is to repair my left wrist. Perhaps we could compare notes afterwards!

Hey Caddman!! welcome to the site, in my opinion, this forum has by and far been the best rehab tool during recovery. You get answers faster then you would from a doc and they are all coming from people who have gone through the same thing as you. So be sure to keep us all updated on your recovery and best of luck with the surgery!

Chykcha, best of luck on the surgery on your wrist! As soon as I get my shoulder straightened out, I plan on getting my wrist fixed as well, I haven't been able to wear my watch on my wrist for almost a year now because of the swelling!

      Thanks everyone!

I went in for my registration this morning. I think the surgery is going to take less time. They took X-rays, bloodwork, and an EKG.
