I have been in a wheel chair on and off for about three months with a leg injury and am wondering about how to start moving around again safely.
I have been trying to slowly add in movement, but seem to result in overdoing it to the point of pain. I get extreme burning in my hamstring/butt area, sharp pains, stiffness and muscle spasms in my legs if I do too much and it lasts for about a week. Then, I have to start building up all over again! Is this pain typical of overdoing it? It is possible that I may have a nerve issue that is compounding my return to movement.
