Hi, I'm 59 and I've had a SLAP tear for over 10 years. It's my left shoulder so I've been able to manage, although my biceps tendon insertion has always been a bit sore. Lately the tendon has been giving me more trouble so that I barely use the arm. I'm considering a SLAP repair or biceps tendonesis. I don't want a tenotomy, as I need the bicep muscle to play tennis and for other reasons. Has anyone my age had success with either a SLAP repair or biceps tendonesis - or a recommendation against either? Tnanks!
